Welcome to my Saturday Science Movie site!!! Saturday
Science began in 1987 as a community summer science program developed
to help and encourage children and their parents to explore different
fields of science.
Today, Dr. Jack Holt of the Biology Department and Dr. Jennifer Elick
from
Earth and Environmental Sciences at Susquehanna University and Brenda
Bartlett, a teacher from the Pennsboro School District, offer Saturday
morning programs for grades K-8. Our meetings occur about once
each month and last three
hours per session. This program is currently supported by
Susquehanna University and the Pennsylvania Spacegrant, a NASA state based consortium whose mission
is science education.
In anticipation of each meeting, the Faculty and Staff of the Saturday Science Program put together a newsletter called The Saturday Scientist. You may access this newsletter from the Saturday Science Website... The purpose of Saturday Science is to engage the students in the activities of science, and the purpose of the newsletter is to help students at all levels to get the most out of our meetings... If you wish to access the movies on this page or any other page from this website, make sure you have the latest version of Quicktime or that you have the Quicktime Alternative that allows you to play .mov files. You may download them for FREE from the links below. |
